I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ Jess Eva is a former The Block winner and a radio star. On the reality tv show, Ms. Eva disclosed her battle with postnatal depression that was not aired on the show. 

In the unaired clip, Ms. Eva spoke with co-stars Toni Pearen and Abbie Chatfield and described the time in her life as “awful.” Following the birth of her son Freddy, she “didn’t change a nappy for 12 months.”

Later Ms. Eva revealed that she hopes to break the stigma that surrounds postnatal depression. One of her campmates asked her  “Are you on pure poo duty or does Norm do poo as well?” To which she replied, 

Norm’s (Ms. Eva’s husband) very good … I had postnatal for the first 12 months, so I didn’t change a nappy for my first 12 months,

It was awful, but I got out of it. Some people never get out of it.

While talking about her recovery, over a span of seven days, Ms. Eva disclosed that she took anti-depressants and saw a counselor.
